RAW video for Canon 5mk3

Just a quick post to say that the clever folks at Magic Lantern appear to have achieved a major breakthrough – continuous RAW video recording on the Canon 5mk3.

It’s still in early alpha stage (ie very experimental) and hasn’t yet got support for audio, but this could be one of the biggest breakthroughs in digital video since the Canon 5mk2 brought the ability to shoot high-quality video on a stills camera.

The original ML forum thread is here, and Cinema5D have produced a guide showing how they got it to work on their camera, but do caution that it’s not simple for the average non-programmer!
